Chingotto vs Galan: Who Has Really Earned More Prize Money?

Since becoming partners in mid-2024, Federico Chingotto and Alejandro Galan have been inseparable on the Premier Padel circuit. In 43 shared tournaments, they have each earned €700,083 — identical to the cent, as partners always share the same prize money.

This means the entire €6,172 gap between their career totals was built before they ever stepped on court together. The Chingalan era has equalised their paths completely. Everything that separates them today is a product of what happened in 2023 and early 2024.

In 2023, Chingotto was partnered with Francisco Navarro — and they were exceptional. Reaching the finals of the BNL Italy Major (approximately €27,500 per player), the Paris Major (approximately €27,500), and Madrid P1 (approximately €14,300), Chingotto accumulated significantly more prize money than Galan, who was competing alongside Juan Lebron. While the Lebron/Galan pairing had their moments — winning the Milano P1 for approximately €25,500 per player — the cumulative effect of Chingotto's consistent deep runs gave him a decisive edge that year.

The Navarro/Chingotto partnership proved extraordinarily consistent. A succession of quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finalist placings, especially at the Major events where prize money is richest, built a foundation that Chingotto has never relinquished. No single tournament defined the lead — it was the relentless accumulation of deep runs across an entire season.

Early 2024 brought significant change to the top of the padel rankings. Chingotto briefly partnered with Momo Gonzalez, while Galan remained with Juan Lebron for a few more tournaments — including a memorable Riyadh P1 victory for approximately €25,500 per player. Lebron/Galan were still contending for titles, but the partnership was approaching its end.

By mid-2024, the pairing that would define the next era was born: Chingalan. From that first tournament together, every euro earned has been perfectly synchronised. There is no more gap to build or close through on-court results — Chingotto and Galan now rise and fall together. The €6,172 that Chingotto leads by today is, in effect, a permanent fixture of the record books — a monument to what he achieved in the seasons before their partnership began.
