Qatar Major 2026 Has Been Postponed

On March 16, 2026, Premier Padel and the FIP announced the postponement of the Ooredoo Qatar Major, originally scheduled for April 6–11 in Doha. The decision was made in coordination with the Qatar Padel Federation citing “the unprecedented situation in the wider region” — a reference to the ongoing Middle East conflict.

The Qatar Major is not the only major sporting event affected. The MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix, the FIA WEC season opener, and the Finalissima (Spain vs Argentina) were all postponed or cancelled due to the same security concerns in the region.

A new date has not yet been announced. The Premier Padel Steering Committee has been convened to assess the impact on the 2026 calendar. The €1,000,000 prize pool remains on hold, meaning top players miss out on up to €50,000 per player in potential earnings this spring. We will update this page as soon as a new date is confirmed.
