Premier Padel is back at Rotterdam Ahoy for a third September. After two years as a P1, Rotterdam is a P2 in 2026. Same arena, and last year 40,000 people came through the doors, but the title cheque is 42% smaller. The men's champions take €15,000 per player, down from €26,000 in 2025, and the women's €8,500, down from €17,000. Coello & Tapia have won both Rotterdam finals so far, both times against Galán & Chingotto, and arrive straight from beating them again in the Paris Major final.
Rotterdam pays 42% less than it did last year
In 2025 Coello and Tapia left Ahoy with €26,000 each and Triay and Brea with €17,000. The 2026 champions get €15,000 and €8,500. A men's P2 title is worth less than a third of the €48,000 Coello and Tapia earned in Paris two weeks earlier, and a women's P2 title less than a fifth of what Sánchez and Ustero took home there.

Tournament Overview
The CUPRA Rotterdam Premier Padel P2 2026 is played from 27 September to 4 October 2026 at Rotterdam Ahoy. It is the third Premier Padel tournament in the Netherlands and the biggest professional padel event in the country, with €264,534 in total prize money according to the FIP. Men's champions earn €15,000 per player, women's champions €8,500.
Four courts inside Ahoy
The centre court is built inside the Ahoy Arena, the hall that hosts the ABN AMRO Open tennis every February, and three further competition courts stand in Hall 1. All four are indoor, built by Mejor Set on a TenCate turf, made in the Netherlands, with the Bullpadel Next Pro as the official ball. Last year's edition drew around 40,000 visitors across the week and 8,000 on finals day. The finals session is the first to sell out.
From P1 to P2
Rotterdam was a P1 in 2024 and 2025. On the 2026 FIP calendar it is a P2. That means a smaller prize pool (€264,534 instead of the €479,068 a P1 pays), smaller main draws (28 men's and 24 women's pairs) and fewer ranking points. The field does not have to be weaker for it. Every P2 final this season has had at least one of the two pairs that have played every Rotterdam final so far.
Two weeks after Paris
Rotterdam is the first Premier Padel tournament after the Paris Major, where Coello and Tapia beat Galán and Chingotto 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(1) on 13 September, and Ariana Sánchez and Andrea Ustero beat Claudia Fernández and Martina Calvo 6-2, 6-0. It opens a three-week European run: Rotterdam, then the Germany P2 in Düsseldorf from 5 October, then the Milano P1 from 12 October.
What is a P2?
A P2 is the third tier of Premier Padel, below the Majors and the P1s. In 2026 a P2 means:
- €264,534 total prize pool, about 55% of a P1 and a quarter of a Major
- Different pay for men and women: €15,000 against €8,500 for the champions, a 76% gap
- Smaller draws: 28 men's pairs and 24 women's pairs, so the top seeds skip the first round
- Fewer ranking points than a P1, but still a full week of the FIP calendar

How the draws are built
Official FIP entry numbers. Both qualifying draws send four pairs into the main draw.
- Men's main draw: 28 pairs, 22 direct entries, 4 qualifiers, 2 wildcards. The top four seeds skip the first round.
- Women's main draw: 24 pairs, 19 direct entries, 4 qualifiers, 1 wildcard. The top eight seeds skip the first round.
- Men's qualifying: 32 pairs, 30 direct entries and 2 wildcards, from Sunday 27 September.
- Women's qualifying: 16 pairs, from Monday 28 September.
Dutch wildcards 🇳🇱 play on Dutch Day
Three home pairs go straight into the main draw and open on Wednesday 30 September, the day the organisers call Dutch Day.
- Men: Youp de Kroon / Julian Prins, the Dutch pair ranked around No. 123 in the world.
- Men: Sten Richters / Albin Olsson (SWE). Richters played the 2024 edition with Bram Meijer.
- Women: Marcella Koek / Steffie Weterings. Koek is the highest-ranked Dutch player on tour, inside the world top 80. The pair played the main draw here in 2024 and 2025 and earned €1,750 and €1,009 per player for first-round exits; a first-round exit in 2026 pays €500.

Tax on Prize Money in the Netherlands: Around 25% Withheld
The Netherlands applies wage withholding of roughly 25% on prize money paid to non-resident athletes, with tax treaties between the Netherlands and a player's home country able to reduce or remove the charge. On a €15,000 men's champion cheque that is about €3,750 at source before treaty relief; on the €8,500 women's cheque about €2,125. Rotterdam sits in the middle of the calendar, below the UK bite in London and well above the tax-free Gulf stops in Kuwait and Dubai that follow later in the autumn.

Three storylines at the Rotterdam P2
A third Rotterdam final between the same two pairs?
Coello & Tapia beat Galán & Chingotto in the Rotterdam final in 2024 and again in 2025, 6-3, 7-6. The two pairs have now met in ten finals this season: Galán and Chingotto won the first four, in Gijón, Miami, Asunción and Buenos Aires, and have lost the last six, from the Italy Major in June to Paris on 13 September. Coello and Tapia lead the 2026 race with €310,700 each and nine titles; Galán and Chingotto have €271,400 and seven.

Ariana Sánchez won the 2024 title here with Josemaría and lost the 2025 final with her to Triay & Brea. She returns with Andrea Ustero as Paris Major champion after a 6-2, 6-0 final over Fernández and Calvo, who had knocked out Triay and Brea in the semi-final. Triay and Brea defend the title and lead the race on €194,450 per player; Sánchez and Ustero are second on €146,800, Josemaría and González third on €137,960 with six titles.

Three Dutch pairs open on Wednesday 30 September in front of a home crowd that filled Ahoy with 40,000 fans last year. Marcella Koek, ranked inside the top 80, is the highest-placed of them; she and Weterings lost their opening match in both previous editions. A first-round win this year would be worth €1,781 per player for the men and €1,009 for the women, and a losing debut pays €1,000 and €500. Main-draw tickets start at €22.50, and qualifying is free.
